This organization does well when the economy is doing poorly. Their members are brought into distressed companies to try to turn them around. Membership rolls are growing and press interest in the organization is increasing.
Our challenge was to design and build a public website framework and an extranet-based content management system that support the national organization and 36 chapter sites, all sharing a common user interface. Each chapter can change their own website without affecting the content of other chapters. National "superuser" editors can view and change content on all sites, or share content with local chapters.
Authored material includes several types of articles, calendar events, FAQs, and press releases. E-commerce event registration is provided. Each chapter can view event registration reports. Events can have one or more sponsors. Membership search, profile editing, and renewals are supported. A chapter directory allows members to view other chapter websites. Website membership data is regularly updated from internal databases.
